Even though it is only my second day, I’ve already warmed up
a lot to this place. The building itself is not very big, so I know my way
around. There are also only about 40 employees, all of whom I walked around and
met. Everyone here is very friendly, and overall seems like a strong community.
People are always laughing or shouting across the cubicles, which shows it’s a
relaxed work environment. I have my own little cubicle that is across from Erin
and Kate’s cubicles, and Hrishue’s office. It’s nice being this close to them
because whenever I have a question they’re right next to me. I continued
researching the entrepreneurial related resources Hartford has to offer, and
had to make a spread sheet of all the different companies. Jumpstart gave me my
own laptop for my 3 weeks. The laptop connects also to a desk top, and
everything I have on my laptop can go back and forth between the laptop and
desktop, it’s like a double screen feature and is extremely useful. I also
learned the true spelling of Connecticut. I had never realized you spell out “connect”
first, I always just thought it was Conneticut. Looks like I’ve been spelling
it wrong my whole life…
