5-19-2014, New Project

I had an enjoyable weekend and returned to Jumpstart ready to continue working. Now that I was done with the Connecticut project, Hrishue informed me on what I would be doing next. He explained how he wanted me to organize a system that anyone at Jumpstart could use to collect data for a region or city. I’m supposed to organize a list of sources that provide data regarding basic demographics, to entrepreneurial related data for any area. The purpose of this is so that next time a city comes to them with a problem or request, they can use this to get a brief report on the area. I began by organizing a list of everything that should be included in this universal report I’m creating. I’m a little nervous about this because I don’t know if some of this data would be accessible for any area. I also hate research, and this will probably involve a lot of research. I’ll make the best of it and hopefully learn a few research skills. This is a lot of work and sometimes I feel like going crazy in my cubical. I learned that sometimes I just need to get up and walk around, or get some water to relieve myself of this stress. While this senior project has been enjoyable, it definitely is a lot of work.
