Great Start

Today was our first official day at Swerve Fitness! We walked in and right away we met the CEO Eric, the COO Chelsea, and the president John Henry. They were all extremely friendly and helped us feel so welcome right away. We sat down and had a meeting about what we would be focusing on the next 2 weeks. Eric explained that he wanted us to focus mostly on marketing. I was especially excited about that because I am interested in studying marketing in college. He explained that we needed to figure out a new way to get the word around the local neighborhood (not including social media for now). Marshall and I spent the afternoon walking around the busy streets of New York talking to many doormen and yoga studios. We asked the doormen if they ever let companies drop off fliers in their building to advertise. Every doorman gave us the exact same answer-the fliers never work. This was good to know because now we know Swerve should not waste any more time printing fliers. We also talked to the yoga studios about how they got the word around about their studio. They explained their techniques so we are going to think about those and discuss them with the Swerve team. We are so excited to continue our adventure with Swerve!
